The Austrian crown gentian ( Gentianella austriaca ) or Austria wreath Enzian called, is a plant of the genus of gentianella ( Gentianella ) in the family of the Gentian family (Gentianaceae).

Vegetative characteristics
The Austrian Kranzian is a biennial herbaceous plant that usually reaches heights of 10 to 20 (1 to 40) centimeters. Usually it is branched from the base.
The constantly against arranged on the stem leaves are bare, ovoid-lanceolate narrowed to lanceolate sharpened upper end and at the base.
Generative characteristics
The flowers are arranged in a cluster of inflorescences . The hermaphroditic flowers are radial symmetry and five-fold with a double flower envelope . The five sepals are fused to less than half their length. The five bald calyx lobes are linear and their edge is smooth or curved back, the bays between the calyx lobes are blunt. The purple or whitish crown is 24 to 45 millimeters long.
The capsule fruit is stalked.
Occurrence
Gentianella austriaca is widespread in Central and Eastern Europe in Austria , Poland , Hungary , the Czech Republic , Slovakia , the former Yugoslavia , Romania and Greece . According to Floraweb, the species is absent in Germany.
