The ẟ is a letter in the Latin writing system . Although based on a handwritten D , in most fonts the letter looks the same as the lowercase Greek letter Delta .
The sign was used for letters of Welsh texts to the voiced dental fricative / ð / display. In modern Welsh the digraph dd represents this sound.
