“Enken ju vor träwelling ” is a series of satirical books by journalists Mark Spörrle and Lutz Schumacher . The two volumes, an attendant gift book, audio book and two iPhone - applications are in publishing Herder and publishing cross , Freiburg appeared.

In the long-distance trains of Deutsche Bahn the retired train conductor formerly the disembarking at the next stop passengers with the English-language announcement "thank you for traveling [with German Railways]" (corresponding German announcement: "Thank you for your trip with Deutsche Bahn"). The title of the books reproduces this announcement with a German accent .
Among other things, the Wise Guys released a song with this title.

The authors use stylistic devices from a guidebook to draw attention to grievances at Deutsche Bahn by presenting absurd situations and instructions on how to deal with them . For example, humorous tips on how to use ticket machines correctly, how to behave when fighting for seats on the train or a packing list for survival luggage for rail travelers are given. Other parts of the book reflect fictional experiences on train journeys, analyze the supposed mistakes of travelers and give advice on how to avoid such mistakes.

The first volume reached seven months one of the first twenty places in the mirror - bestseller list and has been discussed in the literature section of many newspapers.
