(1021) Flammario is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11. March 1924 by the astronomer Max Wolf was discovered.
The name is derived from Camille Flammarion , a French astronomer and author from the 19th to early 20th centuries. The orbit has a semi-major axis of 2.7375 astronomical units and an orbital eccentricity of 0.2864. Thus it moves at a distance of 1.9534 ( perihelion ) to 3.5216 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in 4.529 a around the sun . The orbit is inclined 15.821 ° to the ecliptic .
The asteroid has a diameter of 99.93 km and an albedo of 0.0458. It rotates around its own axis in about 12.146 hours.
