(10221) Kubrick is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 October 1997 by Czech astronomer Petr Pravec at the observatory Ondřejov ( IAU code 557) in the Czech Republic was discovered.
The asteroid was named on March 2, 1999 after the American director , producer and screenwriter Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999), who is counted among the most important filmmakers of all time because of his perfectionism.
