(1060) Magnolia is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on August 13, 1925 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth , who worked at the observatory on the Königstuhl near Heidelberg .

The asteroid is named after the genus magnolia .
