(1328) Devota is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on October 21, 1925 by the Russian astronomer Beniamin Pavlovich Schechowski in Algiers .
The name is derived from Fortunato Devoto , a friend of the explorer and president of the national council for observatories in Argentina.
