(13682) Pressberger is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 10, 1997 by the Austrian amateur astronomers Erich Meyer and Herbert Raab at the Davidschlag observatory ( IAU code 540) near Linz in Austria .
The asteroid was named on July 26, 2000 after the Austrian mechanical engineer Rudolf Pressberger (1942-2001), who worked at the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Vienna from 1972 and developed an improved fork attachment for telescopes, which found its way into astronomy as the Austria Mount .
