(13816) Stülpner is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on December 29, 1998 by Jens Kandler at the Drebach public observatory in the Ore Mountains .
It was named after Karl Stülpner (1762–1841), an Erzgebirge folk hero from Scharfenstein (today a district of Drebach). He is known to many as the daring hunter and protector of the poor, known as the “Saxon Robin Hood ”.
