(18055) Remote Hildebrandt is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 11 October 1999 by the US amateur astronomer Gary Hug and Graham E. Bell at Farpoint Observatory ( IAU code 734) in Kansas was discovered.
The asteroid was named after Fern C. Hildebrandt (* 1927), who interested Gary Hug in astronomy in his youth and who kept motivated him.
