(18623) Pises is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 27 February 1998 at pises observatory ( IAU code 122) in the Cévennes National Park in France was discovered.
The asteroid is a member of the Koronis family, a group of asteroids named after (158) Koronis .
(18623) Pises was named on March 28, 2002 after the observatory where it was discovered.
