(20254) Úpice is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on March 21, 1998 by the Czech astronomer Petr Pravec at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) near Ondřejov in Bohemia .

The asteroid was named on May 9, 2001 after the town of Úpice in northeastern Bohemia, where an observatory, which was built with the help and support of almost all residents, has been operating since 1959.
