(2765) Dinant is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 4 March 1981 by the astronomer Henri DEBEHOGNE and Giovanni DeSanctis at La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the city of Dinant in southern Belgium .
