(29490) Myslbek is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 19, 1997 by the Czech astronomer Petr Pravec at the Ondřejov observatory ( IAU code 557) in the Czech Republic.
The asteroid was named on September 10, 2003 after the Czech sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek (1848–1922), whose equestrian statue of the Czech national saint Saint Wenceslas was erected on Wenceslas Square in Prague in 1912 after 30 years of work .
