(3018) Godiva is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 21 May 1982 by the American astronomer Edward LG Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station (IAU code 688) of the Lowell Observatory in Coconino County was discovered.

The asteroid was named after Lady Godiva , an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman of the 11th century. According to legend, she rode through Coventry wearing only her long hair to persuade her husband Leofric , the Earl of Mercia , to lower taxes.
