(30307) Marcelriesz is an asteroid of the main belt extending from the on 2 May 2000 Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( IAU code 684) in Prescott , Arizona was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the Hungarian mathematician Marcel Riesz (1886–1969) who worked in the field of fractional calculus and, like his older brother Frigyes Riesz, made significant contributions to functional analysis. The asteroid was named on April 27, 2002.
