(30937) Bashkirtseff is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 16 January 1994 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst and his French colleague Christian Pollas the Observatoire de Calern ( IAU code north of the city 010) Grasse was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Russian painter Marie Bashkirtseff (1858–1884), whose work can be assigned to naturalism and who became known above all through her diary beyond painting.
