(3345) Tarkovsky is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 23 December 1982 by the Ukrainian astronomer Lyudmila Georgievna Karatschkina the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory ( IAU code 095) in Nautschnyj was discovered.
The asteroid was named in 1988 after the Soviet filmmaker Andrei Arsenjewitsch Tarkowski (1932–1986), who was famous abroad, but was denied official recognition in his home country during his lifetime.
