(3787) Aivazovskij is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 11, 1977 by the Russian astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).
The asteroid was named after the Russian marine painter Iwan Konstantinowitsch Aiwasowski (1817–1900).
