(38018) Louisneefs is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 1 June 1998 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered.
The asteroid was named on April 6, 2012 after the Belgian singer and presenter Louis Neefs (1937-1980), who represented his country twice at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna and Madrid and both times finished seventh.
