(3872) Akirafujii is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 12 January 1983 by the American astronomer Brian A. Skiff at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory ( IAU code 688) in Flagstaff was discovered.
The asteroid was named after the Japanese astrophotographer and astronomer Akira Fujii (* 1941).
