(9115) Battisti is an asteroid of the main belt , which was discovered on February 27, 1997 by the Italian astronomers Piero Sicoli and Francesco Manca at the Osservatorio Astronomico Sormano ( IAU code 587) in Sormano .

The asteroid was named on December 8, 1998 after the Italian songwriter Lucio Battisti (1943-1998).
