1. Allgemeine Verunsicherung is the debut album of the Austrian rock band Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung , released in 1978 . The album was produced as accompanying material for the live concerts that bore the name Uschi im Glück .

Musically, the album is clearly shaped by rock cabaret. To ironic, satirical texts that are performed in a broad Austrian dialect, musical styles are imitated on the respective topic.

publication

The LP version of the album was only released in a print run of 2,000 copies, as the band found little target audience at the beginning of their career. The album was officially released with the artist's name “1. General uncertainty & Wilfried ”, because singer Wilfried Scheutz was the only band member to have a record contract with EMI as a solo artist and he was able to persuade his record company to release the album as his solo work. Since the album was not reissued after its first release, it has meanwhile a high collector's value due to the later commercial success of the EAV.

In 1999 there was a new release of the album with a CD-ROM as an insert, which was distributed in limited editions by selected record dealers. The difference to the LP in addition to the sound carrier format was the gray printed cover of the CD. The CD is no longer available in stores today. However, some tracks on the album appeared separately and in revised sound quality on later EAV compilations. In November 2015 the album - this time with the original artwork in yellow - was re-released on CD in a digitally restored version - a re-release on vinyl followed in January 2016.
