Everything is allowed is the 16th and final studio album by the Austrian pop-rock - band First Gimme Gimmes (EAV). It was released on September 28, 2018, two years after the previous studio album Was haben wir laughed… . The album entered the Austrian album charts at number two.
Publication and chart successes
The album was released in Austria on September 28, 2018 under the Ariola label. In Germany it was published on October 5, 2018, in Switzerland two days later. In Austria, the album entered the charts at number two. In Germany it was in the album charts for four weeks, reaching number seven. In Switzerland it stayed in the charts for three weeks and reached number 13.
particularities
The album was released on compact disc as well as two records and as a download . An edition with two compact discs and a book was also issued.
On the first CD “Everything is allowed” of the special edition, in addition to the 16 titles of the standard CD, the two additional titles “Man should den day” and “Freedom” are included. The second CD of the book edition is called "Alles für den Hugo" and contains, among other things, instrumental versions, demo versions and alternative versions of titles from the standard CD. A 40-page book was also published with caricatures, comics, scribbles , facts, anecdotes and handwritten song texts for the album.
Singer Klaus Eberhartinger and lyricist and composer Thomas Spitzer announced that it would be the last album of the first general uncertainty. On February 3, 2019, the group started the 1000 years EAV farewell tour through Austria and Germany with four concerts in Fehring in Styria with the album .
The song “Gegen den Wind” was sung by the Austrian singer Lemo and was released as a single along with “Trick der Politik”, “Salatisten-Mambo” and “Am Rechts Ort” .
The album was nominated in the Album of the Year category at the 2019 Amadeus Awards .
