The country needs new heroes is the 14th studio album by the Austrian pop rock band Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung . It was released on February 5th, 2010, two and a half years after the previous album Amore XL . The album reached number one on the Austrian album charts and platinum status .

Publication and charts

The album was released on February 5, 2010 under the Ariola label. It was placed in the album charts in Germany for 6 weeks, reaching # 26. In Austria, where it occupied position 1 for a long time, it lasted 29 weeks and in Switzerland it reached # 34, with a three-week chart presence. On April 29, 2010, the album went platinum for more than 20,000 units sold.
