2016 QA 2 is a near-Earth Aten-type asteroid discovered on August 28, 2016 at the SONEAR observatory in Brazil. On August 28, 2016, it flew past Earth at a nominal distance of 86,600 kilometers, with a relative speed of around 10 kilometers per second. Due to its orbital properties, which make observation difficult, and its low brightness, it was only discovered a few hours earlier. The size is estimated to be around 34 meters, but it can also be only 20 or 50 meters.
