  • The Illyrian King Agron makes the Adriatic Sea unsafe with the piracy he promoted. The Greeks on the Dalmatian island of Issa are therefore turning to Rome for help. Demetrios II of Macedonia concludes an alliance with Agron against the Aitolian League , which is defeated by Agron. At the victory celebration Agron is said to have died after excessive wine consumption; He is succeeded by Queen Teuta , who continues its pirate policy.
