content

Actor Jack Webb visits a California Air Force base to study its work and language as he prepares for a role in which he will play a US Air Force officer . On the one hand, he learns the important role the station plays in the defense of the nation, but also gets to know the other side, in which citizens of the surrounding cities are annoyed by the noise caused by the air force base and protest against it.

The local mayor goes to Washington to bring citizens' grievances up. When bad weather on the return flight of the politician endangers the aircraft and its passengers, the air force intervenes to save them. The mayor then changes his mind and tries to convince his fellow citizens of the importance of the work of the grassroots and asks for acceptance.

Webb picks up on the action at the end of the film and, for his part, emphasizes the importance of air defense and how difficult it is for people to find a basis with their civilian neighbors to get along peacefully.
