3: 0 for the beards is the Hessian Radio produced a four-part puppet of the Augsburg Puppet Theater by Manfred Jenning Based on the book by Heiner Gross .

action

Hans and Bärbel, two human children, arrive in the wonderland and its capital, Tanzibor. The hairy inhabitants of the country - the women have floor-length hair and the men knee-length beards - are concerned because they can no longer find access to the children of people who no longer dream and are no longer interested in fairy tales . Bärbel and Hans are made queen and general of the wonderland, respectively, in order to remedy the situation. Under her guidance, the bearded man succeeds in defeating the evil magician Sabor and his army of robots in three stages.

Broadcast and publication

The first television broadcast of the four parts with the subtitles Der Zauberreifen , Die Wundersame Reise , Die Insel des Laächers and Der Bad Zauberer Sabor, with a total running time of 114 minutes, took place on Sundays from November 14th to December 5th, 1971 on First German Television .

In 1972 a story book was published with photos of the original dolls. A DVD of the puppet play was released in 2005.
