Cranberry Production (originally 4HEAD Studios ) was a development studio for video games in Hanover , which is characterized by point-and-click - Adventures and economic simulations made his name.
history
The development studio was founded in 1997 by Lars Martensen and Tobias Severin under the name AHEAD Entertainment Software GmbH (AG Hanover, HRB 56490) in Hanover. The company appeared externally under the name 4HEAD Studios. Martensen previously had a cooperation with Sunflowers , who produced and marketed the games Die Fugger and Die Fugger II developed by him and Matthis Kriesell . In October 2007 4HEAD was bought by Dtp entertainment and renamed Cranberry Production. The first game under the new name was the adventure Mata Hari , which was released in November 2008. As a result, the studio made a name for itself with two successors to the successful adventure brand Black Mirror . In 2010 the Bremen dtp studio House of Tales was relocated to Hanover and merged with Cranberry Production, which meant the end of the traditional adventure producer. In 2012, shortly after the completion of the Lost Chronicles of Zerzura cranberry project , the owner dtp announced the merger of the studio with the dtp headquarters in Hamburg and the consequent dissolution of the Hanover location. In 2013, the remaining cranberry team, now based in Hamburg, was bought up by the Frankfurt game developer Deck13 and renamed Deck13 Hamburg.
