Ažbe Jug (born March 3, 1992 in Maribor ) is a Slovenian football goalkeeper .
Career
society
Jug started his career at NK Pohorje . In 2005 he joined the youth of NK Maribor . In 2009 he moved to Interblock Ljubljana . In September 2009 he was against NK Olimpija Ljubljana for the first time in the first team squad.
He made his debut in the 1st SNL in February 2010 when he was in the starting line-up against NK Drava Ptuj on matchday 23 of the 2009/10 season . With Interblock he had to end of the season after a lost Relegation against NK Triglav Kranj in the second SNL descend.
In January 2011 he moved to France to Girondins Bordeaux , where he was initially used for the B team. In March 2014, he made his debut for the professionals in Ligue 1 when he was in the starting line-up against OGC Nice on matchday 30 of the 2013/14 season . In the 2014/15 season he made two appearances in Ligue 1.
For the 2015/16 season Jug moved to Portugal to Sporting Lisbon . In his first season with Sporting he came to a use in the League Cup . In the 2016/17 season he was no longer used in the first team, but was used three times for the B-team in the Segunda League .
He left Sporting in August 2017.
National team
Jug played for the Slovenian U-15 team for the first time in 2006 . In August 2007 he made his debut for the U-17 team . In May 2008 he also played two games for the Slovenian U-16 team .
In September 2009 Jug played against Croatia for the first time for the Slovenian U-19 team . Between 2011 and 2012 he made four appearances in the U-20 team .
He made his debut for the U-21 team in February 2013 when he came on as a substitute for Jan Oblak in a friendly against Portugal at half-time .
