Arlandus Jacob "AJ" Bouye (* 16th August 1991 in Tucker , Georgia ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the cornerbacks . He plays for the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL). Prior to that, he was with the Houston Texans and the Jacksonville Jaguars .

college

Bouye attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) and played college football for their team, the Knights, between 2009 and 2012 . In total, he was able to set 110 tackles and record a sack . He also got six interceptions and two touchdowns .

NFL

Houston Texans

Bouye was initially ignored in the 2013 NFL Draft , but was subsequently hired as a free agent by the Houston Texans . Thanks to his good performance during preparation, he made it into the team and was called up in six games in his rookie season, both as cornerback and in the special teams , before being put on the injured reserve list with a tendon injury . After two rather average seasons, he made his breakthrough in 2016 and was the best pass defender on his team.

Jacksonville Jaguars

In March 2017, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars a five-year contract for 67.5 million US dollars . He was able to improve significantly with 18 pass defenses and six interceptions and - like the other starting cornerback of the Jaguars Jalen Ramsey - was appointed to the Pro Bowl for the first time .

On March 3, 2020 it was announced that Bouye will join the Denver Broncos in exchange for a four-round pick with the start of the new season on March 18 .
