The De 4/4 50 of the Appenzeller Bahn (AB) was a meter-gauge , four-axle, electrically operated goods railcar or baggage railcar that was put into operation in 1966.

The Ge 4/4 49 in the freight between Herisau and Urnäsch replace the AB built in their workshop Herisau the De 4/4 50. The car body in light steel construction provided the flight and vehicle works Altenrhein (FFA), and the bogies derived from the Abe 4/4 40-43 . The AB was able to acquire the traction motors from the Frauenfeld-Wil-Bahn , where they were in use until 1953/54 for their BCe 2/4. The paint was originally red / cream, later the railcar was painted red.

With the cessation of freight traffic, the AB had no more use for the vehicle. Because it had no historical significance, it was canceled in 2011.
