The AIDS Memorial Grove is a 28,000 square meter wooded valley in Golden Gate Park , San Francisco , dedicated to the people who have died of AIDS . It is also used to support those living with AIDS and their family members and caregivers.

The development of the memorial began in 1991 in the former Laveaga Valley. In 1996 it became a National Memorial . The AIDS Memorial Grove is owned and administered by the City of San Francisco, but is an affiliated area of ​​the National Park Service .
