The Red Hill Patrick Henry National Memorial in Charlotte County, Virginia is a National Memorial ("National Memorial") in the United States.
The landscaped park and the buildings that have been preserved are reminiscent of Patrick Henry , who was a prominent representative of the American independence movement . Patrick Henry died on Red Hill Plantation in 1799 at the age of 63 . The establishment of the Patrick Henry National Monument was decided by Congress on August 15, 1935 , but was not implemented until 1944. As a result, the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation took over the site and took care of the memorial. On May 13, 1986, it was recognized as a National Memorial .
