Aaron Baddeley (born March 17, 1981 in Lebanon , New Hampshire ) is an Australian professional golfer who is also a US citizen.

From the age of two he grew up in Australia and at the age of 17 or 18 was considered one of the most promising talents in golf worldwide. Baddeley was the youngest player to ever represent Australia in the Eisenhower Trophy , and he won the prestigious Holden Australian Open in 1999, becoming the first amateur since 1960 and the youngest ever title holder .

He was able to defend this title the following year - already as a professional golfer . In 2001 Baddeley won the Greg Norman Holden International in Australia, an event that is also part of the European Tour , and he represented his country at the WGC World Cup . In the 2002 season he played on the second- ranked North American Nationwide Tour and qualified over a 10th place in the annual standings for the great PGA TOUR . Baddeley succeeded in his first two seasons with two second places, but he lacked consistency. In 2006 he won his first tournament, the Verizon Heritage .

In his age group, Baddeley is overshadowed by his compatriot Adam Scott , who is barely a year older and who reached the top 10 of the golf world rankings in 2005 , while in April 2008 he achieved his best placement with 16th place.

He is married to Richelle and has residences in Melbourne and Scottsdale , Arizona .
