Abderrahmane Hammad ( Arabic عبد الرحمن حماد, DMG ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān Ḥammād ; * May 27, 1977 in Dellys ) is a former Algerian high jumper .

From 1997 to 2005 he was the Algerian high jump champion nine times in a row. His personal best of 2.34 m is also the Algerian national record (as of April 2010).

At the international level, he celebrated his greatest success by winning the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . He also won three consecutive African championships (1998, 2000 and 2002) and won the silver medal at the 1999 African Games in Johannesburg .

He also took part in four World Athletics Championships (1999, 2001, 2003 and 2007), reached the finals twice and finished ninth in 2001 in Edmonton as the best place . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he missed the finals.

Abderrahmane Hammad is 1.89 m tall and had a competition weight of 70 kg. After numerous injuries, he ended his active career in early 2010.
