Abdullah Abkar Mohammed ( Arabic عبد الله أبكر محمد, DMG ʿAbd Allāh Abkar Muḥammad ; * January 1, 1997 ) is a Saudi sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run .

Athletic career

Abdullah Abkar Mohammed gained his first international experience at the 2016 World Indoor Championships in Portland , where he made it to the semi-finals in the 60-meter run and was eliminated there with 6.68 seconds. He then won the bronze medal over 100 meters at the Junior Asian Championships in Ho Chi Minh City in 10.45 s and was eliminated in the first round in the 200-meter run . He also qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he was eliminated in the first round in 10.26 s . The following year he reached the semi-finals over 100 meters at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku and took sixth place with the Saudi 4 x 100 meter relay. He then won the Arab Championships in Radès in 10.19 s and thus qualified for the World Championships in London , where he was eliminated with 10.31 s in the lead . In September he reached the final over 60 meters at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat , but was disqualified there, as well as in the run-up to the 4 x 400 meter relay.

In 2018 he again took part in the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , where he was eliminated again in the semi-finals with 6.63 s. At the end of August he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time , where he finished fourth in 10.10 s.

Mohammed is a student at King Saud University in Riyadh .
