Abraham Millauer

Abraham Millauer (born May 15, 1683 in Elbach , † November 30, 1758 in Litzldorf near Feilnbach , Upper Bavaria ) was a German church builder of the Baroque and Rococo .

Life

Millauer had been married to Barbara (nee Mayr), a daughter of master bricklayer Hans Mayr the Elder († 1718), since February 8, 1706, and was his successor on the farm "Hausstatt" in the hamlet of Altofing near Feilnbach. In the 18th century he worked in the Chiemgau , the Inn Valley and the neighboring Tyrolean lowlands as a builder for a total of 15 village churches. In Aibling and Schleching , he implemented the plans of the master builder Johann Michael Fischer for the new parish churches .

His son Philipp Millauer followed him as a church builder, he had taken over the father's business long before his death.
