Abscess (ger .: abscess ) is a death metal band from Benicia , California . The band combines typical death metal with punk and grindcore .
history
The band was founded in 1994 by Autopsy members Freeway Migliore, Chris Reifert and Danny Coralles together with Clint Bower (ex-member of Hexx ). Autopsy disbanded a year after it was founded. After two demos they got a record deal on Relapse Records . After Abscess was temporarily under contract with Red Stream , they switched to Tyrant Syndicate Productions for the release of the new album . Joe Allen sometimes played under the pseudonym "Kill" with the black metal band VON , is involved in a GG-Allin co-band and has announced a symphonic project called VWG, for which he wants to win Ihsahn , Fenriz and Varg Vikernes .
