The Altenburg section fortification is an abandoned early medieval section fortification in the "Altenburg" nature reserve about 1300 meters east-southeast of Trappstadt Castle in Trappstadt in the Rhön-Grabfeld district in Bavaria .
Wall and moat remains from the former castle complex have been preserved.
