Adam Patrick DeVine (born November 7, 1983 in Waterloo , Iowa ) is an American comedian , actor and film producer . He is one of the creators and main characters of the Comedy Central sitcom Workaholics and the comedy show Adam DeVine's House Party . DeVine also appears in the music comedies Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 and the sitcom Modern Family .
