With a body weight of over 100 kg, the hobby bodybuilder is considered the "strongest professional footballer in the world".
Career
Akinfenwa played almost his entire career in the third or fourth division in England, u. a. for Swansea City , Northampton Town and Millwall FC . He also came to two appearances in the Europa League qualification for the Lithuanian club Atlantas Klaipėda in the 2001/02 season and in the 2003/04 season on two appearances in the Champions League qualification with Barry Town .

He has been playing for the Wycombe Wanderers since the 2016/17 season . With the club he rose at the end of the League One 19/20 season via the play-offs with a 2-1 win over Oxford United in the second-rate EFL Championship .
Others
Akinfenwa is considered a cult player in English football because of his build and humor. When he was stopped by a police officer in 2013, the police officer asked him about his job, which Akinfenwa answered with "footballer". Only after repeated inquiries did the policeman realize that by “football” he didn't mean American football , but soccer . His upper arms are proven to be larger than the thighs of footballer John Terry . Akinfenwa presents “Beast Mode” videos on social networks that show him doing strength training . As a reference to this, his fans in the stadium wear T-shirts with the inscription "Beast Mode".
Immediately after his promotion to AFC Wimbledon , to which he contributed the winning goal, he answered a journalist's question about his whereabouts in the team with “I think I'm unemployed now. Dear coach, if you are looking for a striker, send me a message on WhatsApp ! ”Because his contract with the club expired at the end of the season.
Akinfewa compensates for his lack of movement with powerful shots and goals, which are often spectacular and celebrated frenetically.
When asked if he could imagine playing for the English national team, he said: "You have to serve chicken before every game, then I'll be there."
