Adolf Kolping
Adolf Anton Jakob Kolping (born December 12, 1909 in Andernach ; † August 1997 in Bonn ) was a German Catholic theologian and university professor .
Life

Adolf Kolping, ordained a priest in Cologne on February 27, 1936 , initially provided pastoral services, in 1942 he completed his habilitation at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in the subjects of dogmatics and the history of dogmas , in 1945 he started teaching there, and in 1949 he followed Call for a full professorship in fundamental theology , theological propaedeutics , the history of dogma and dogmatics at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , in 1962 he moved to the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg as a full professor of fundamental theology, and in 1978 he retired .
Adolf Kolping, one of the leading German fundamental theologians of his time, died in Bonn in the summer of 1997 after a long illness at the age of 87.
