Adolf Krauss

Adolf Christoph Krauss (born January 2, 1813 in Urach , † August 2, 1884 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Born the son of Ephorus from Urach , Krauss studied law in Tübingen and Heidelberg after high school . During his studies in Tübingen he became a member of the Feuerreiter fraternity in 1830 . He was sentenced to eight months of imprisonment on the Hohenasperg for taking part in an attempt at a riot that threatened the independence of the state .

In 1841 he became a court actuary in Schorndorf before he worked as an assessor and counselor at the courts of Esslingen , Ulm and Ellwangen . In 1859 he became a member of the upper tribunal , in 1861 a higher tribunal councilor, and in 1879 a higher regional judge before he retired in 1882 as Senate President at the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court . During his career he was mainly used in civil senates and became a member of the Administrative Court . In 1871 he was elected by the estates in the Württemberg State Court .
