Adolf Landolt (born January 31, 1907 in Näfels , † October 19, 1973 in Binningen , Christian Catholic , resident in Näfels) was a Swiss politician (SP) .

Life

Adolf Landolt was born on January 31, 1907 in Näfels as the son of a slip of paper, who worked in the textile industry , Josef Landolt and Maria-born Wittmann. Landolt began to study law , which he obtained with the academic degree of Dr. iur. completed. At the same time, he completed an apprenticeship as a Christian Catholic pastor .

In 1948, following the introduction of the AHV , Adolf Landolt was appointed head of the Baselland cantonal compensation fund in Binningen, which he held until 1968 and which he built up and expanded with his rapidly growing tasks. He was considered a proven expert in social security .

In 1938, Adolf Landolt married Anna Gertrud, born in Braunschweig, who was born in Lengnau . He died on October 19, 1973 in Binningen a few months before his 67th birthday.

Political offices

As a member of the Social Democratic Party, Adolf Landolt was represented in the Basellandschaftliche Landrat from 1947 to 1963 , of which he was president between 1961 and 1962 . From 1959 onwards it belonged to the cantonal tax appeals commission. In addition, he took a seat on the National Council from June to October 1959 as the successor to Leo Lejeune . Landolt failed to be re-elected in autumn 1959.
