Adolf Robinson
Adolf Robinson (born July 8, 1838 in Stanislau , Galicia , † August 25, 1920 in Vienna ) was an Austrian opera singer ( baritone ) and singing teacher.
Life
As a student of the singing teacher Francesco Lamperti (1811-1892) in Milan , Adolf Robinson became one of the most celebrated baritone players on the German opera stage and one of the first singers in Richard Wagner's operas . Together with Albert Niemann , Lilli Lehmann and others, he was also very successful in the United States of America.
In later years he lived in Brno , from 1898 in Vienna and gave singing lessons. His students included Rudolf Berger , Joseph Schwarz and Leo Slezak , among others .
