Adolfo Hernández Hurtado

Adolfo Hernández Hurtado (born December 18, 1920 in Arandas , † October 15, 2004 ) was auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara .

Life

He was ordained a priest on December 26, 1943 by the Archbishop of Guadalajara, José Garibi y Rivera .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on January 13, 1958 Bishop of Tapachula . He was ordained bishop by the Archbishop of Guadalajara , José Garibi y Rivera, on May 11th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Fortino Gómez León , Archbishop of Antequera, Oaxaca , and Lucio Torreblanca y Tapia , Bishop of Chiapas (Ciudad Real de Chiapas) .

He attended all sessions of the Second Vatican Council except for the third. The Pope appointed him Bishop of Zamora on September 6, 1970 . Paul VI appointed him on December 12, 1974 auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara and titular bishop of Vicus Pacati .

On March 20, 1997, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
