Adrián Beltré Pérez (born April 7, 1979 in Santo Domingo ) is a former baseball player . He comes from the Dominican Republic and played 21 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) as third baseman , most recently for the Texas Rangers . He made his MLB debut on June 24, 1998 at the age of 19 for the Los Angeles Dodgers , and he also played for the Seattle Mariners and Boston Red Sox .

He is one of the few players who made it into the 3,000 Hits Club . In November 2018, he announced his resignation. He took part in the MLB All-Star Game four times and won the Silver Slugger Award four times and the Gold Glove Award five times .
