Adriana Karembeu (born Sklenaříková ; born September 17, 1971 in Brezno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak model living in France .

Life

Adriana Sklenařikova was born on September 17, 1971 in Brezno, in today's Slovakia, to a Slovak mother and a Czech father. She first studied medicine in Prague , where she took part in a beauty contest, which she won. She then gave up her studies to become a model and was soon signed by Next modeling agency in New York and Elite Model Management in Milan.

She got her first career boost through a contract with the Italian beer manufacturer Peroni , before she gained further fame as a Wonderbra model. As a model she worked for various agencies and fashion designers, including a. for Laura Biagiotti .

With a leg length of 1.25 meters, she received an entry in the Guinness Book of Records in 1998, which has meanwhile been exceeded, as the model with the world's longest legs.

In 2008 she played Madame Methusalix in Asterix at the Olympic Games .

From 1994 to 1997 Karembeu was in a relationship with British singer Mick Hucknall . In 1998 she met the then French soccer player Christian Karembeu , with whom she lived in Madrid . Their wedding in December of the same year received a lot of coverage in the Spanish media. Their separation was announced in March 2011, followed by divorce in 2012. In June 2014, Karembeu married the Armenian entrepreneur Aram Ohanian, with whom she had been together for three years.

In 2010 she was named " Women's Football Ambassador" by the French Football Association . Because of this role, she was appointed by FIFA for the group draw for the 2011 Women's World Cup . In 2011 she took part in the first season of the dance show Danse avec les stars .
